Yesterday I was driving north over the point of the mountain in I-15. Up ahead, I saw a car with Alaska plates and a bike strapped to the top. I sped up to see who was driving, expecting to see Geoff. It was actually a girl.

Juneau's electricity problems made Morning Edition on NPR today. Made me think of you - and the fact that I knew about it long before I heard the story.

How ?. I don't see her holding one. And what about the picture of her on the mountain bike with gloves on, I don't see one there either.

Happened along your site and just read through lots of it. You've made me very homesick for Juneau.

I think her new boyfriend is the one that took the pictures. ;)

I'm just using a 10-second self-timer, placing the camera on the ground and posing in front of it. Pictures are generally more interesting with people on them, so the self portraits have been my latest experiment.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
